It’s summer so what the heck! Why not write a review of the Adidas ZX Flux that keeps coming in different colorways? Don’t judge, but I just got these sneakers recently in the black & white colorway. And dare I say these are by far my favourite sneakers at the moment! From the price I got them to the comfort of putting them on, I just can’t have enough of this beauty.
Personally, I feel the ZX Flux is Adidas’ response to the very popular Nike Roshe Run. They are both light, flexible and very comfortable. One notable difference though is the presence of a thin rubber outsole in the ZX for enhanced protection.
When it comes to the important matter of fit, the ZX Flux fits true to size. I rock a US 13 and I must say I haven’t had any issues with comfort and fit. In fact, my feet get a reasonable amount of breathing space when tucked in the sneakers.
Another thing to note is the shape and size of the tongue. This is weirdly somewhat different from other shoes that appear to have a similar frame to the ZX. Shoes like the Yeezy Boost 350. The tongue is thicker than similarly-shaped sneakers. I personally don’t have a problem with the bulkiness because up until recently, I’ve always enjoyed tucking my pants in my sneakers. I’m not used to doing it with low sneakers, but it’s been a pretty interesting experience these last few days with the ZX Flux.
I love these shoes. Unlike a lot of sneakers these days, the price is very reasonable. The comfort is top-notch. The aesthetics are great. I got these for around $75 from KicksUSA and they could very easily become my everyday summer shoes. Even sweeter, the colour I got could very much go with anything. I think I saw these in a Footlocker store recently, so you might want to try these out before getting them if you have any doubts. The Nike Roshe Run is also a very viable alternative to the Adidas ZX Flux.
Anyway, it’s a 4.8/5 for me. See you in the comments
