After gracing the market for the first time in December 2015, the Adidas NMD has been the face of casual sneakers so far in 2016. Since the turn of the year, Adidas has managed to keep our thoughts with the NMDs by releasing many colorways. Adidas is gaining major ground on the competition (Hello Nike) with hard hits like the Yeezys, Tubulars, Boost and now, the Adidas NMD. There’s even talk of the NMDs being the best Adidas Sneaker of all time.
What Adidas have managed to do with the Adidas NMD is integrate their newest technology with classic features from its past. To be specific, it takes cues from the Micro pacer, the Boston super and the Rising star. As a matter of fact, this sneaker is listed as part of the Adidas Originals line-up.
This sneaker employs Adidas’ Boost technology, with EVA pallets for shock resistance and sufficient firmness/stability. The NMD features a sock-like Primeknit Upper, which leads to a comfy snug fit and of course, an extremely light sneaker.
Aesthetically, the contrasting-colour elements fixed at the fore and rear-foot ensure an in-your-face design that flaunts retro demeanour and confidence.
The Adidas NMD has been released in over 31 colorways as at the time of writing. And there’s still more colorways to come.
At the moment it’s sold out at the online Adidas store. Subscribe to us to be the first to know when they re-stock. Or you could get them from eBay if you just can’t wait to get these shoes on. But before you do that, bare in mind that the maximum official price for the NMDs has been $190.
